Mixer flap arm Posted by Ari [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Heater doesn't work, Peter Cai, Fri, 22 Apr 2005 05:30:18 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Does the car have manual temperature controls (knobs) or ACC? What year is it?
IF the car has ACC, does it get hot if you turn the setting to HI? If so, it may be a bad cabin sensor. No matter what, do a self-test (hit VENT and DEFROST buttons at the same time). See if that fixes the problem.
If that doesn't do the trick, or you have knobs to set the temp, it may be a broken mixture flap arm.
There is a good picture at http://www.quasimotors.com/Blower_motor_flaprod.htm
To find it, open the hood, and remove the horizontal plastic cover at the base of the windshield. The arm is on the right side of the blower box (right side when facing forward)
Also search the archives on Flap or Mixture.
