I posted a message a few weeks ago about finding a minor flood in the driver's side footwell and under the seat. My car is parked at downhill angle and most of the water collected in this footwell. No mechanical problems found so the mechanic cleared out the sunroof drains and he also found wetness under the drivers side REAR SEAT and in the trunk where you lift up the panel to the spare tire well. There were water droplets only on the drivers side of this tire well, so all water stays on the drivers side. The sunroof is not the problem becuase AFTER the car dried out, it rained again and the same thing happened. When I open the trunk/hatch there is a lot of water in the rails/indentations (I don't know what you call these spaces) along BOTH sides of the trunk opening and I found a crack right beside the drivers side rail where water was dripping into the trunk ONLY on the drivers side. Looks like this is the problem but IS IT POSSIBLE for the water to have travelled all the way from the trunk, under the rear seat, and into the footwell? Again, the car is parked on a hill, nose facing downward. I have photos of the water pooling in the trunk side rails if anyone wants to take a look and try to figure out WHY water is collecting there..is it the rubber seals letting water in when the trunk is closed? I see the actual cracked in the metal area where it's then dripping in but need to figure out WHY the water is collecting there in the first place? I will email photos to anyone who wants to see.
