Salutations:
OK - so on a very good lead from Bill Homer I have established that my 1993 Aero is in fact locked into 'Base Boost' - which is to say it is coming up to just before the slotted red/yellow zone and no further. It should, apparently, be going slightly into the red zone on full boost.
I disconnected the BPV valve from the loom and there was no change in the boost value one way or the other. This is different from 'limp mode' base boost - which would lock it down below mid-point in the yellow.
Soooo - the cruise does not operate, which may be meaningful here and as well - it is missing 75hp on the dyno. I am looking for leads and any detailed diagnostic instructions on this - Bill had some fried components on a 1994 that presented the same issues. Cruise is *not* a vacuum module on this model.
If Bill is still following my saga - could you please repost FYI as I still cannot tract down your original post on this subject.
Any further details appreciated - not in a position to swap known good parts to further check BPV.
