Hello everyone!

I'm posting today with a currently un-driveable 90 9kt situation at the moment, which hopefully come this weekend will all be changed!

As some of you know, i had a MAJOR fluid leaking situation hit my car last month, and at the time i feared it to be, at the least, the power steering system was shot, and at the worst, the transmission to be leaking (if not shot as well).

It turned out to be BOTH systems leaking! The WORST worst case scenario! ;) But as saabs go, isn't that the norm?

Anyways, each system had a bad enough leak to distribute ALL of it's fresh fluid from it's reseve tanks, onto my driveway, in about 24-48 hours of sitting still, not running.

Who knows how long it would take to leak out while driving?

Anyways, more info can be found in my past posts about that...

The results of my search has been as follows...

Power steering pump and hoses, a normal maintenance procedure at 130,000+ miles, are in need of replacement, and have been already pulled of my parts car...

...as for the transmission, there were NO case cracks, and the oil appeared to be coming out of the passanger side output shaft seal.

As some of you said to me, those of you who have done the automatic to manual conversion like i have, that there was a possibility that the intermediate shaft carrier bracket was possibly never changed during the conversion.

For those of you who made such an assumption, you win first prize!

My bracket still had the "A" for automatic stamped right on it!

So, after 20,000 miles of driving it with the wrong bracket, it appears to have taken a beating, but will return trimphant, and hopefully carry me for another several years without major incident!

Thanks to all for your suggestions and support!
