You are in luck. I found Quasi's description too wordy. Not to slight him. But let me give you the run down. I'll start assuming you have the aquarium exposed.
Remove the false bulkhead, two screws and one bolt holding up the wire loom. Also remove the driver side half of the false bulkhead where the brake fluid reservoir and one relay box is attached to it. This one has three nuts (10 mm socket or wrench) in the bottom and one (also 10 mm) inside the aquarium. This panel also house the engine ecu so it has to be pulled out too. You'll be glad you did even though it is not easy to remove. The blower motor housing could easily damage the screw connector on the panel if you don't remove it. Also loosen and remove one screw fastening the bracket holding the brake fluid reservoir and the relay box to the half false bulkhead.
You have it easier. Since your are replacing the heater core, you have to remove the coolant hoses to the core. So do it before getting to the blower motor. In my case I removed the blower motor with the two coolant hoses in place. I did not drain coolant.
There are also two vacuum hoses attached to the blower motor housing with steel clips. Loosen them all.
Next go to the passenger side. Loosen and remove one torx screw at the passenger side of the evaporator housing. There is another screw near the front center of the evaporator housing. Loosen and remove it. You won't be able to move the evaporator housing much. But every little bit helps. You'll be pulling the housing up and to the passenger side as much as you can to separate it from the blower motor housing. I also recommend removing the ACC fan speed control. It is located on the driver side of the evap. housing. Remove three torx screws and one electrical connector. You can stick you hand in the opening vacated by the controller to gain leverage.
Aside from the lever connection for the louver which you have to disconnect first, the blower motor housing is snapped in place by only two plastic locks in the bottom. Use a flash light to see. Don't force it. Use two long flat blade screw driver to pry loose the plastic locks. Pivot the blower motor housing out and up while pulling the evaporator housing up and toward the passenger side as much as you can. It may sound easy. Some swearing may be required.
My description turns out to be quite wordy too.
