with proper maintenance being the determining factor. Both cars have roughly the same engine. 9000 auto transmissions are weak, but the non-turbo 900 has oil sludge problems if not maintained well. Well taken care of, both of these cars will go to 300k. Each model has its own quirks that need to be adressed at some point. If you are having a difficult time deciding, then maybe you should do some research by searching this bb and figure out what issues both models have, then determine whether or not those issues have been addressed. Based upon this analysis a better decision can be made.
personally I like the ng900 better than the 9000, but it is a 94, meaning old style front suspension, old style shift linkage, cable clutch, etc., etc.
I know the auto is weak in the 9000 and I am sure there are more issues of its own. One thing is for certain, if the 9000 has traction control then drop it from consideration.
