A/C Relay Dead? Or bad input?

Hello, I have been checking the operation of my a/c system for the upcomming heat wave. I have no a/c fan or compressor engagement from the ACC. I found a wire diagram from townesend site. And started tracing wires, to the pressure switch, anti-frost switch, and power and grounds. Which i cleaned the ground connection on the left wheelwell. I have 3 a/c relays of the same #9513219 that i assume are ALL dead. None will click or make the a/c come on. So I took a jumper wire from the 30 terminal to 87 and then 87b of the relay panel and the a/c fan worked and with the engine running the compressor worked. There are several inputs to the relay and i wonder if one is bad or just the relay is shot?
I have converted the system to R-134a last week and added freon till the line got cold with the compressor jumpered to get the freon in. Thanks for the thoughts on this.
