Hey saabers,
Today while i was doing some testing of my BPC in my 1990 9kt i noticed that there was a little drop of fresh dark fluid on the ground, at first i thought it was oil (and i nearly messed my pants), but it looks more like automatic transmission fluid. I traced it up to the top hose connecting to the little thin cooler that is bolted to the left of the radiator. As it turns out, the butcher that owned my 9k before me, didnt put the hose on properly when he replaced the radiator, he only put it on half way and used a crappy old hose clamp to secure it on, so it leaks a little.
I looked at where the hoses went to and it looks like they go into the engine. Id just assume it was a oil cooler except it looks more like transmission fluid to me...
I tried to force the hose on further so it wouldnt leak but the hose is so hard and i couldnt get it over the second lip on the connecter, so i just tried to do the hose clamp up tighter.
What IS this mystery cooler? and what is leaking out of my car?
