(I think its blue) that comes out from underneath the clutch mechanism on your compressor. With this maneuver, you are bypassing lots of the safety checks in your system like hi/lo pressure cut-out switches, overheating switch on the compressor, and the controls for the cooling fans as they relate to the ac system.
The danger is too much pressure in the system could damage components like your nice, new hoses, the expansion valve, etc.
I know because I am tracing faults in my system now and am suspecting a failed or damaged pressure monitor on the receiver/dryer. There is a post below from sweedcar on how the switch is supposed to work. My high pressure cut out switch is also not working, and *may* have suffered from too much amperage.
I'll post findings as soon as I have something concrete. I would check the function of the various relays in your ac system as well.
