Jak's 3" down pipe bolted up fine. I had a shop do it as it need to be fit to an upgraded cat back system.
If you like DIY and have accesss to a lift...halve at it. I like the shop guys to handle the exhaust stuff as they are generally better equipped to handle little things that come up in the installation process.
If I were to do the exhaust over again...I would go with a 3"turbo back system. Absolutely no question about that.
Jak seems to be devoting a lot of effort in that area, so he would be one source. The JT system seems to be well accepted by the BB posters.
The new SS system from Group-9 from what I can tell looks very nice...particularly the sweeping bends in the down pipe. I think that is a critical area.
I am talking with a reputable exhaust mfg out here about a custom job. Why? because I don't think anyone has really examined the opportunities of better breathing dynamics in certain areas of the system.
Just the simple exhaust mods I added gave a nice boost in performance. I think there is some beneficial improvements still to be made.
