Many have commented that I should find a new mechanic to work on my car.

I actually had the car towed away from the current dealer (Ed Napleton Ford/Lincoln/Saab in South Bend, Indiana) because of their utter incompetence in doing a simple job (repairing clutch master cylinder).

I currently have at a saab only dealer (Flikkema saab in Merrillville, Indiana) about 80 miles away. Hopefully they can repair the damage (leaking driver side driveshaft oil seal at tranny) caused by the incompetent dealer in South Bend.

The South Bend dealer denied causing this seal leak and said they didn't drop the tranny to replace the a brand new (1000 interstate miles) slave cylinder which failed one day after they replaced the clutch master cylinder.

The dealer repair ticket states R&I the trans to replace slave cylinder, so both the service manager and mechanic lied to me when they stated they didn't drop the tranny to replace the slave. He also busted up the hood emblem and put about 10 more dents in my side doors that weren't there before, what a NIGHTMARE!!!!

So, what are my options to get some of the money back I paid this dealer for his lousy service? I paid with a credit card, is it wise to dispute charges? or is that dangerous to my credit?

I will give an update when my new dealer finishes his repair. By the way the Souht Bend dealer ordered the seals for repaing the driveshaft (which I sent to the new dealer). Can you believe they oredered the wrong side? The bungling never ends.

Thanks for letting me vent.
