Hello all, new to SaabNet (although the company I work for has hosted the site's server for years--midcoast.com) and new to Saab ownership. I bought a '91 9kT yesterday. Car was livved its first 9 years in FL, then transplanted to Maine where is was used as summer transportation. It is very solid with no rust issues and looks pretty decent, but the interior has issues. No big whoop there though. The reason I am posting is this:
I drove it 80+ miles last night from where I bought it to my home and it ran great. Very good power and response. I parked it and came out and drove it again for a half hour or so then parked it for the night. I came out this AM to go through a few things (the central locking wasn't working so I checked the fuse panel and replaced a blown fuse, yada, yada), and when I went to start it ... no go. It cranks fine but doesn't even start to catch. I checked and replaced the 20amp fuel pump fuse: still no go. I then disconnected the fuel line at the top of the motor/rail (at what looks like a pressure switch or something) and put the hose end in a jar and tried starting it: no fuel. I called the guy I bought it from and he was baffled as it never had a starting issue before in the five years he owned it. I believe him, but that is neither here nor there. My questions are these:
Where is the fuel pump relay and how to test?
Where is the fuel pump and how to access and test?
I searched for a while, but didn't find anything specific to my year/model. Seems like most of the posts were TCS related, which I do not have (thanks to this board, I chose the '91 9kT specifically because it DIDN'T have the later model issues). I am hopg someone can point me in the right direction(s).
Much thanks in advance for any and all input.
Paddy
