And in that case I Do not have 12v on the fuel pumt fuse. The first time it happened I opened the fuel line at the pressure regulator and there was no fuel. When I crancked the car, suddenly fule came out.
from then, whenever it happens, I just open the gas cap for a while, and then it will start. I do not have a loud hiss, but the tank is obviouly pressurized. Now if that happens the pump will not be able to overcome the negative pressure and will ' stall'.
I think it was Michael Smith on this board who pointed out that the atmospheric pressure in the tank is maintained by the vapor line coming from the charcoal canister. If the canister valve remains shut, the tank will slowly get a negative pressure. i think my valve is sometimes stuck.
At least check for the 12v at the fuel pump fuse while crancking the car.
