'93 and '94 Models had more options - model evolution Posted by Bill Homer [Email] (#3427) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bill Homer) on Wed, 22 Jun 2005 07:42:30 In Reply to: Re: Yes- 93 CSE N/A, cse93turbo, Tue, 21 Jun 2005 20:26:50 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
For '93 and '94, the base US model was the CS, which still came with many standard "accessories" such as power windows, locks, windows, brakes, steering, and Automatic Climate Control. Additional features such as leather and moonroof were available on the CS for additional charges. The CSE package included additional luxury features standard, such as leather, power seats, CD player with EQ. Both models were available with either the base 150 HP Normally Aspirated engine, or the full-pressure 200 HP turbo (with boost gauge). I have a '94 CS with a Turbo, the VIN confirms that the turbo was equipped from the factory. I have also driven a '93 CS Turbo, no moonroof.
The '95 through '97 US models were more standardized, and more power was tied to more luxury. The base CS model got the 170 HP Low-Pressure Turbo, the CSE got the 200 HP full-pressure turbo, and had the option of the V6 while it was available.
'93 - '97 Aeros were all 200 HP for automatics and 225 HP for manual trans cars. All had the Aero seats, bumpers, wheels, springs/shocks, etc.
