Thanks Victor, I am trying to correct the issues in the rear end that the PO was just overlooking I guess (although I can't imagine being able to ignore the clunking and clanging it is making over even the slightest of cracks in the pavement).
The swaybar bushings are most likely the culprit, but the rear shocks are some Midas Gold things that most likely aren't the right shock for the car ... who knows? The bolt that holds the right rear shock onto the control arm is incorrect and allows for some play, which has enlarged the hole and most likely will need to be either replaced or repaired with washers or something. I am going to try to find what I need in advance and get it to my mechanic all at once. It would be great if there was a bushing kit or similar package one could purchase that would cover all the misc. parts needed for a redo.
