Heater core r&r completed...

Took the car out for a drive yesterday, and there are no leaks. The ACC system and all related parts work fine.
I happen to have a very long screwdriver which came in handy releasing the blower assembly locking tab on the pass. side (the one you really can't see), so that was not a problem. I must say, the hardest part of this job was hooking up the hoses to the heater core mainly because the aftermarket ones I used (Mackay) are slightly thicker than oem, and there is already very little clearance in that area. I found using a "squeeze-tight" clamp on the bottom one (these are the ones that the long heater hoses use to clamp down on the plastic connectors within the false bulkhead), and a regular one on the top hose.
While everything was taken apart, it seems Saab must have changed the type of insulation used around the flapper and the blower itself. There is no foam style there, just some rubber type that does not fall apart. So that was one thing I didn't need to attend to, and my blower motor only has 30K miles on it so I left it in.
Now I just have to figure out how to get the blue stain and greasy anti-freeze residue out of the pass. side rug...
