More commonly you get vibrations from an out of round front -
but usually the vibration will be speed specific. ALthough
you may have vibrations all the time, it will be especially bad
in particular range of about 10-15 mph. For a rear, I'd expect
it to be a sort of shudder, with a feeling of a pull in that
direction.
As with my advice on the front, I'd switch your front and rear
and see if the vibration follows the tire change.
That said - it is more unusual to have it cause problems in the rear.
When you get the rear off - look it over for bulges and bulging
rings, as per comments on the front. Also check your rear rotor -
if it is warped, then that can cause vibration, since the tire is essentially mounted to the rotor. Also check your rear wheel bearing,
see if it moves freely and with out clunks, hitches, etc.
While you are back there, might as well look at the suspension -
bushings, etc and see if there is anything obviously missing,
loose or degraded.
Good luck, these things can take quite a while to figure out.
Spent a lot of time last summer on mine.
