Tonight I found that my AC was just a blown Fuse(mech. missed it!) So I'm crusing along real nice and shift into 5th gear and as I accelerate it pops out of 5th and squaks the tires and rev limits and dies I shift into 4,3,2 start with the cluch in and it does it everytime I let the clutch out. It will drive in 1st in !st and N but if I start it and have it in any other gear its like the emergency brake is on it just dies.
No it is not the shift coupler it is brand new >2000 mi. on it and it will go through all the gears (not running) 5th and reverse are quite hard to get.
I know the cluch was getting low( not much travel left) but I can;'t imagine thats it as it engages, It just wont come out of 1st, seems like it goes into the other gears just that 1st is still engaged. Help please!
on a side note coincidence or not after spending over a grand doing all the mounts a new AC system - the ACC2 there is oil all over the front driver side wheel well loks like compresor oil looks like thats where it came from as its only on the pass side of the hoses and such. Note trans and engine have NO leaks what so ever!
'92 9000T 5Speed 136000mi.
