You won't have to do those big jobs again for another 100K miles or so. It's the only way that I can justify the constant stream of insanely costly repairs and not want to kill myself. I love my 9000 very much; I feel that it's one of the best cars ever made and it's brought me great joy. But you have to be devoted to it, for sure, because that's where all your money is going to end up. How devoted am I? How about looking for a second job, just so I can afford my mortgage payments, upkeep of two ten-year old Aeros, and maybe go out to dinner from time to time. Giving up either of the cars is not an option, although my husband has mentioned selling the house!

Once you are addicted to Saabs, it's impossible to imagine driving anything else. Sachin, you've had some real heartbreaking problems and I feel just terrible for you. I hope you can find someone to help lessen the burden of this next major repair.
