how old and what milage on the car?
the reason I ask. While trouble shooting two winters ago i acidently pulled the fan relay. didn't cause an issue most of the winter until i got in bumper to bumper highway traffic...which my temp ran a little high. after replacing the thermostat i realzied the fan wasn't kicking on, then i figured it out. on a car with 200K miles this was enough to warp the head a bit to allow some oil blow by (or damage to the head gasket). my indie said it wasn't worth it to repair, especially if i'm only losing about 1/2 quart of oil every 3 months. car still runs great. i change my anti freeze every 6 months anyways...and there is no more than a few tea spoons of oil in it. no water in oil.
so what is the smoke really worth to you? is it hurting the performance? is it just something you don't like? new car...fix it. old car...let it go is my theory.
and yes the oil accumlates with leaking valves all night but due to viscocity and combusition pressure...it's kept out to some extent while under way. don't know why on the turbo...but many things leak at night (fuel injectors, valve stems, turbo bearings...but are fine after all the fuel/oil is blown out unit another cool night and time to drip...
