of years ago. Got the repair/rebuild kit from TurboCity. The results were satisfactory, but you have to be willing to take a bit of time, and have some good tools available (snap-ring pliers, good parts cleaner, clean work area.) For the price of the rebuild kit, I'd be willing to try it on my Aero as well. There is one potential pitfall, and that is if there is ANY mechanical damage to either the turbine or compressor blades; if any of them is the least bit tweaked, then give up and buy a reman. cartridge. You will never live down the balancing issues afterwards. If all she is doing is smoking, there is a good chance you can do it yourself. Plus, you'll love yourself afterwards for having tackled it successfully.
