Norm, I have same car-same year-same problem.
No succes yet also, but I will post my experience.
1. True
2. True, but you have to make sure your ECU is OK otherwise it will blow your BPC again. In your case your right pin has a too big resistance-check resistance on corresponding wire from connector to the ground. Compare it to the other one. This might be your problem.
4.True (mine was shot, but didn't fix the problem)
5. Check resistance on the brake pedal switch (I used Townsends Imports website-exellent info!) But I would agree with you on everything else.
6.This one is tricky. Mine wasn't even touching a pedal. Some people reported same situation, but still obtaining full boost. Check resistance and continuity on harness (same website). I didn't have much luck with that.
Here is what I did-I cut a wire coming from cruise control module to ECU (I believe it was "green")-this way ECU will "think" that cruise control is off. Of course, my cruise control doesn't work anymore, but it didn't before and I never use it. Bad switch or control module can "tell" ECU that cruise is "on" even your light is not lit.
7. I believe resistance on both sides (not a middle) should be infinite.
Also, make sure with ignition on you get 12V from middle pin.

You might want to check EGR valve- if it fails, it might show 12V on it's pins but still let the boost escape.(see Townsends site).

Good luck and keep us updated please!

Victor
