Went for a drive, trying to get the engine hot without success. (btw no coolant came shooting out of those auto trans coooler hoels either)
Even sitting in my driveway idling after coming home (where the engine would be hot just from driving around the complex to my townhouse) just sitting there creeping ever so slowly upward.
The real test will be my next day of stop and go in 90 degrees.
The car never overheated but the needle got very familiar with the area within a 1/4-1/8 inch of the red. I tried flushing the radiator and got a bunch of crap out but the engine still ran too hot.
But now I've replaced the radiator, the fan switch, the thermostat, the heatercore, the waterpump and every soft water hose on the car. Don't forget a full flush of the coolant. So I don't expect another coolant issue.
