If you have a Trionic system it is
a "closed loop/malfunction"
Check your vacuum hose between the MAP sensor and the
intake manifold, and the one between the fuel pressure
regulator and the intake manifold.
If you have the Motronic 5.2 system it is
a "variable intake manifold/ open circuit"
this is usually a short of some sort in the
circuit to the manifold solinoid valve -
it has a two prong conector. With ignition on
pull this connector. Connect a test light to pin 1 and
to ground,
if the light goes on it's ok. No light - short is probably
in that wire.
If in 1 checks ok, then it's then probably
a short in the wiring to pin 2 - there's a way to check that
pin too, but it takes a scan tool.
BUT, if there are other codes it can mean something else.
