TECH II - TCS

My 92 9k CD Turbo has been down about 3 months, TCS Control...limp home for good. Just finding time for it. From the posts everyone said to get a shop to use a TECH II to pull the codes. No one in an hour radius has one that will definately pull saab codes. My local GM dealership says they have a TECH II, I guess for older GM vehicles. They said to drop by with my car and they'll see if it will do anything, but they don't think it will because they don't have the saab software in it. Any advice if it's worth taking it by there? Anything else I can do besides tow it an hour plus to the closest saab dealership (besides the junk yard ha ha)?
Amazing either a sensor or the throttle body can put the car out of its misery. Its like not even having a car when that death light comes on, especially if it decides to illuminate and go into limp mode when you are passing a car with head on traffic.
