I recently had an e-mail exchange with a site sponsor regarding what "genuine Saab" means, and he assured me when his company calls it genuine Saab, it means they actually buy it from Saab. I think the dealer price is higher than $150, because even the site sponsors charge more than that.
I guess the surface imperfections is what is getting me. Where is this scoring coming from? I know rubber deteriorates over time, and I thought that's why they will eventually leak, not from damage from the metal parts. Mine isn't leaking at all. Maybe I'll take it out and look at it under a microscope.
I'm replacing the transmission, differential, flywheel, clutch, shift linkage, ball joints.
