(I found Yaofeng's posting, thanks.)
"I would probably opt to get either genuine SAAB or polyurethane parts"
I want to get polyurethane parts. Does anyone have them other than Elkparts in the UK?
There is an engine hoist on sale for $109.00 at pep boys this week. Does anyone have it and have feedback? I've wanted one for a while, and I think that will save me some time.
Update on the situation - I changed the fluid last night. It was fairly brown, I haven't changed it in years. Now the steering is heavy in both directions, which is better than only one way - that was too weird. I think that verifies it is the steering rack. I've had the car since 20K (at 200K now) and it wasn't changed in that time.
