After several days of very high humidity here, I discovered that the polyfuse connection technique I recommended is not very reliable. I am trying 2 alternatives, one on each side. There is room for the device itself in the corner near the end of the motor. One method is to flatten the leads, but not fold them back, then to wedge them between the outsides of the contact strips and the plastic housing. This is very tricky, but should provide much higher contact pressure. The other technique is to lift up the contact strips and solder the unflattened leads to them, then stuff an insulator between the strips and push them back down. I took pictures of each and will eventually download them. Meanwhile, if anyone else has better alternatives or experience, please post.
