Get it out while you still can! : )
I just had to drill out a rusted one I put in there three years earlier. No amount of hammering would get it out, and that's one bad angle to be working a drill. Thank God for the flexible shaft Dremel thingy. It still took me 45 minutes to do that simple task.
Admittedly, I put another one of the same kind in there temporarily. A trip to the cotter pin section of Home Depot should rustle up a zinc plated or galvanized one that will fit.
