Not yet, waiting for the part. I'm going to put penetrant on the threads starting today, then I'm going to go really easy on the threads. If it doesn't come loose, then I'm going to try the propane torch and some light hammer blows. If that doesn't work, I'll be back here for more advice!
As far as recharging goes, I've looked at some past posts and the best way is to evacuate the system and then recharge, since the system is opened up to the air when you take off a hose. But others just put the recommended (950 g) of refrigerant in.
Any opinions on just re-filling? DIY refill, app $30, A/C shop $125+
BY the way, its really uncomfortable here in Miami with no A/C.
