To those that have poly on the end-links bottoms...

I installed the poly bushings on the bottom of the end-links (where they go through the control arms), both above and below the c-arms. These are the red bushings from Pep Boys, meant for an older Mustang. I did this about 2 - 3 years ago. I would say about 6 months later I noticed that the rubber bushings within the top of the end-links (where the ends of the sway bar go into them) were starting to pull away from the end-links themselves. At the time I installed the poly bushings, I also used brand new end-links (which come with the top rubber bushings already inserted).

Now (about 2 years later), I notice that the sway bar severely pulls away from the top of the end links, to the point where those bushings basically are not attached to the end-links anymore. I am thinking that since I use poly on the bottoms, the end-links themselves do not move or flex when the car shifts from side to side, and this causes tremendous stress on the tops of the links and allows the sway bar to pull and push on those rubber bushings since they are not made of a harder material like poly.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Does anyone know where poly bushings could be had for the top of the end links or where end links can be purchased with poly already inserted into the tops?
