I swapped the motor in my '95 9000CSE with a '96 9000CSE. The swap was straight forward and started on first try.

Since the swap, I've had a "check engine" code "8 flashes EVAP valve (ELCD)". I replaced the parts and I've had two different mechanics check it and connect their computer to analyze the system. Both found nothing wrong on their computer but reset the car since they were there. The check engine light went off for 10-15 minutes but shortly thereafter reappeared. The only thing I can see different between the two year motors is that the '96 has two Oxygen sensors and the '95 only has one.

The car has been running great for over a year now but that damn light on the instrument cluster is driving me nuts.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!!!
