Found a long time grimlin today on my 92 9kt. removed TB and pulled out moter assy. discover one of the brushes had no tension on it holding it against the commutator. the brush spring/tensioner was in place but the brush was wedged in the housing and didn't move freely. also noticee alot of unclean area along the commutator. so, i dove deeper and removed the armature from the motor housing and used a pencil eraser to clean the copper on the commutator nice and shiney. found the draging spot on the brush travel and fixed it by rinsing with wd40 again & again. reassembled and wow. can't make it fail. time will tell.

for all you tentative folks with TB woes. this is not that big O deal. in and out in ~2.5 hours, taking my time and being wide awake helped.
