Aaron, There is a Saab endorsed product called Lubeguard which is supposed to protect the AT fluid from breaking down under heat as quickly.A Sab bulletin reccomends it for curing a squawking noise during shifts. If you read/believe the package claims,it states that it returns the oil to something like the old oils.It seems to be a well endorsed product at the local transmission shops.I stretched my AT life to 15 years and 220,000 km with nothing but fluid changes and either additive as the tranny aged. Finally bit the bullet and had the AT rebuilt when the 4-3 downshift failed and various leaks that no additive would seal.
