Hi Folks,
I have a '91 9KT, and have been disappointed in the amount of light
cast by my old fashioned 9004 powered headlights - until now !
(Folks with newer cars can do the 9005/9006 thing, but not the
older ones, like mine...)
I searched in shops and on the internet for better bulbs, and it
became obvious that it is possible to spend any amount of money
in this effort with no way to know what will work better and what
will just be throwing money into a hole - so I decided that if I
found a pair for around 20-30 that claimed improvement I would try
maybe one or 2 sets and see if there was any improvement -and soon
found '8500K BLUE XENON 9004 HEADLIGHTS 87-92 SAAB 9000' on Ebay.
The whole thing with shipping cost me just under $20, and took
about 2 minutes to install.
Results:
Dramatically improved low beam lighting - but the high beam lighting
may take a bit of getting used to.
A couple of observations I have made already are that I may not have
to use the high beams nearly as much anymore now; and that though
these lights are bluer than normal lights, they aren't the harsh,
painful blue that some have nowadays.
And - they claim to have a lifetime warrantee - how odd is that ?
These go by the name 'EuroDezigns", and I think they are a good
improvement.
