front...
I went by Firestone this morning, no time yet to swap wheels, and talked to the manager. He said the guy who aligned my car was off that day, but he remembered the car.
He said the 'old guy', who is the only guy who really knows how to do alignments there, tried for 45 minutes to align my car. He said the back alignment was off, and so he tried various toe setting to get the car to go straight, and each way was a compromise in one direction, so he finally settled on setting the toe's equal (.12 I think).
He said I could bring it back in tomorrow when the old guy comes back, but I'm driving to Atlanta early tomorrow AM, so he said to try another Firestone there, and to just tell them that the steering wheel is off center to the left, and the car pulls right, and see how they do...
He said I could bring it back in when I get back and the 'old guy' will try again...
Any input on this? Since they can't adjust the rear, any technique to compensate in front with toe setting so steering wheel will sit level when I drive straight down the road, without pulls?
thanks,
aaron
