it has a bad/weak cell or is not really holding a charge it will drop to zero when you hit the ignition. Also, your ground wire may have a lot of corrosion someplace and could be adding to the problem. Happened on my old C900.
I accidentally left my parking and fog lights on yesterday and the batt was dead. Threw a charge on it, waited about 5 mins and got 12.5 on the dash. Hit the ignition and it went to zero, as the batt hadn't gained enough juice. It did 20 mins later. Try putting a trickle charge on it for an hour. Or get it jumped and just drive a while to see if you get the volts back up. If a batt is dead it takes a while to get back to full pop. But don't turn it off unless you have a jump nearby!
