If your car has a manual transmission, then you most likely have a manual belt tensioner. Look for the idler pulley on the top of the belt path. Use a 13mm socket to loosen, but not remove, the bolt that goes through the center of the pulley. Then look for a long threaded rod that is perpendicular to the pulley axis. Back off the nut on that threaded rod, and you will release the tension on the belt. To tighten the belt reverse the process. Tighten the nut till the belt is the right tension, then secure the pulley by tightening the center bolt. What's the right tension? I go for about 1/2 inch deflection on the belt between the idler and the P/S pump when I'm pushing the belt hard. Not very scientific, but it works for me.
