Stalling when clutch released

The symptoms on my 90 9000T 2.0:
1) Car only starts when I depress the clutch. The car stalls when I let the clutch out.
2) If I manage to nurse the clutch to get it on the road the car bucks under acceleration.

Clues:
1) With the clutch pressed in, the engine idles and rev's up normal... (not fuel pump or reg...right?)

2) I sucked on the hose to the hooter valve.. It holds suction. Does this prove 100% the hooter works?

3) AIC and throttle body are clean.

4) The engine skips and Check engine light blinks on and off when I rev it up to 4-5000 RPM.

5) The car has been stalling on deceleration so I pulled the Hooter. Cleaned it and holds vaccum. I put it back in.

6) Recently did oil pump and main seal. A tiny piece of the retaining clip on that back of the crank position sensor was broken. I shimmed it a tiny bit and reinstalled.

7) Replaced most of the vaccum lines

8) the car has also had a slow battery drain when its off..... and may not be related to anything here.
