Our '93 Aeros, both with 156K, are having the same issues it seems. I had LHM, and now I just got the CEL after idling for a few minutes and it's the 7-flasher. What I wanted to tell you is that I already replaced my o2 sensor with a Bosch generic one a couple months ago.
Here's where it gets interesting: I had Paul at Automotion (very well reputed shop) looking at the car a couple days ago and he was saying that he'd had problems with the generic o2 sensors, and he suggested I replace the generic with OEM. (I have a lumpy idle problem and he thought my throttle body is also likely involved in that as well)
So looks like I'll be replacing the o2 sensor and possibly the TB (I'm going to attempt refurbing it myself). I'll be using the OEM sensor this time, and I thought you'd be interested in one mechanic's viewpoint re: generic vs. OEM.
ps. I just remembered a few months ago I idled the car for 10 mins and it went into LHM as I sat there. The CEL came on yesterday after a period of particularly lumpy idling also. At least in my case, I feel like if I can solve the lumpiness, I'll have also solved my LHM problem. I'll keep you posted if I make any progress.
