This is weird. I was in eEuroparts website looking for some brake rotors when I saw they had black DI's on special offer at $250. I've been thinking for a while that I should get a spare since I've got two high mileage 9000's on which I have never had to replace the DI cassette (yet!). Since the red is still at $330, is there any harm in getting the black? I always thought the black was more expensive but not now it seems.

I do notice in the archives that there are reports of the black ones not lasting
as long as the reds - is that anecdotal or is there any evidence for this?

By the way, is eEurparts getting more expensive? I ended up getting my rotors at FCP Groton because they were considerably cheaper there. I always thought eEuroparts used to be the cheapest for pretty much all parts.
