Just installed a new waterpump (as well as the thermostat). Was a bit of a task, but mission accomplished.
I filled her up with water where I thought best to fill it from. So this is my first question? Where is the best place to fill up the radiator? Im use to a regular radiator cap.
I started her up fine... not a problem. I noticed water pouring out of the funny tube that sticks out from the firewall. It eventually slowed down. I gather too much water? But what was funny is that I lost alot of water before installing the new pump. Is the water pouring out typical or not? This is my second question.
Last but not least, I noticed the pipe where the front Oxygen Sensor was smoking after about 30 seconds or so of running. Is this typical and why is this so? Any feedback would be well appreciated. I dont want anything burning up.
I should mention also that when I took out the old water pump and opened it up, there was alot of twisted plastic wound up in the spindle. Still have no idea where this came from. This was obvioulsy why the pump stopped working properly.
