yes, i think all 90 - 98 9000s use the same DI.
it may be another variable. it may just be that that DI in that car causes a rough idle because of a weakness in it that doesn't show up in another car. i had that with between my 92 and 93 9000.
DI from 92 worked better in 93 than the one the car came with, which worked better in 92 than it did in the 93.
Did you follow that?
Basically, the 93 noticed the weaker DI, in a big way, as it finally failed, and ran very very rough, it was still better in the 92 than in the 93.
Any difference in trans between the 94 and 95?
By cracked nipple do you mean the plastic housing? I had a spare I think I just threw it out, I kept waffling back and forth, can't remember now which way I went (I do remember pulling bad CD player and radio with bad left channel back out of garbage, why I don't know).
