Ok here is the story. I have finally finished a motor swap into my 1994 Saab 9000. The motor is running and functioning besides some cooling issues. There are a couple and I am left confused because this 9000 has numberous sensors for the cooling. First off it is not registering a temperature on the gadge in the car. There is a sensor for this and I'm not sure which one it is. I'm going to guess that it is located by the thermostat area. The funny thing is this car came Jerry Rigged from this sensor. Im wondering if they had two different sensors for this, a two pin and a single pin because the one that is on the car has the two pin but someone has jumped one pin to ground on the engine and the other jumper wire runs to a single wire in the harness which after the install has nowhere to plug into except for here. I'm guessing I have the wrong sensor in the head that I should have a single pin sensor and someone tryied to modify the two pin to work. Any ideas and or knowlodge in this matter? I have taken three pictures with someones great idea that I need to research and fix. Thank You. Also I have replaced the thermo switch on the passengers side lower on the radiator, My problem is the main fan will not kick in. I do have a sensor on the upper radiator hose which im not sure of the function but does this sensor have anything to do with either of my issues? Im going to jump the fan motor directly and make sure the motor is good. I have a new thermo switch and maybe I will swap out the fan relay with a differnt one to make sure it is not the problem. All the fuses are good. Please help me and I will be on the road again! Thanks So Much.
