...although having said that, if I were to sell my '93 Aero, which is TOTALLY redone, I'd be asking more. But that's for what essentially amounts to a new Aero.

The good news is that the Ultima TB rebuild is very good. Just put one in my car. Most all the TCS issues are related to TB (worst case), safety or check valves (easy replacements). Sounds like that's been dealt with in this car, so you really shouldn't have much to worry about, TCS-wise.

The TCS On-Off switch does nothing to eliminate TCS issues. It simply is a good feature to have if you drive in snowy or icy conditions, because it allows the wheels to spin when you need them to. Otherwise, the TCS system would bring you to a standstill on that long, steep, snow-covered hill, since when the system sensed one (or both) of the wheels was spinning, it would reduce the throttle opening and perhaps, even, apply the ABS.

In any event, as my brother suggests, unless you can get absolute confirmation that the balance shaft sprocket and chains have been dealt with, as well as blower motor, heater core, etc., etc., you'll eventually have to deal with those, along with, I'd bet, radiator, water pump, front control arm bushings, on and on. If you can't verify all that stuff's already been done, I'd say that the car's worth no more than $3,000, given that it's got the new TB.

All that said, the Aero is a terrific car to drive when all's right with the car. And those seats, well, what can you say...

Good luck!
