Aero "Stuck in Neutral" intermittently while driving

My 95 Aero with 140k and manual trans began displaying strange symptoms this past week which are increasing in frequency now. It began 5 days ago with my being unable to shift into 5th gear at around 65mph. Then when I tried to go back into 4th the shift wouldn't go into that gear either. It was stuck in neutral basically. By depressing and releasing the clutch pedal a few times I could shift again. This has occured 4 times now at different speeds and in different gears but always the same symptom of like being stuck in neutral.
One other thing. This evening, leaving my house, there is a two mile long hill that I like to coast down in neutral for the fun of it. I get going about 50mph then at the bottom slip it into 4th gear and continue under power. Tonight in the middle of coasting down the hill suddenly I felt the clutch engage partially. I didn't do a thing, the car was in neutral just coasting along at about 45-50mph and I heard the engine rpms begin to climb and could feel the braking action of the engine as though I had just shifted in 4th and was beginning to let the clutch out. And then again was unable to shift into any gear until depressing and releasing the clutch pedal numerous times.
Any clues???
