TCS-loved it for five minutes, now hate it

I was driving up to VT today from Boston in the '93 Aero with TCS. I was liking the way it handled at highway speeds with the TCS coming on in the few inches of snow on the highway this morning. It felt reassuring and I was actually going to write a few nice things about it.
THEN! I got off the highway in VT...and I could not make it up a rather large hill that an old Taurus did quite nicely. It seems that "Traction Control" would be more aptly named "Traction Disable your Saab". It just shuts the whole car down and you can't move. I agree with Peter's statement about getting out of the way of a truck if TCS doesn't like the traction. I am really ticked off at the car! (This isn't like me. I love 9000s and give them every break I can). This TCS system S****S. I hate it. Besides giving owners all the problems it always does, the darn thing doesn't even do its job well when it is working. It really is absolutely dangerous. I hadn't even thought it could be this crippling, but I guarantee you, it certainly is that bad.
Enough of my TCS rant today. I spent two weeks fixing everything in the system and this is the thanks I get! : ) I am making myself laugh now. Another day in the world of my "winter driver". I do love these cars despite this crap I have to deal with! Where's my '94?!
Have a happy Thanksgiving everyone (or "happy weekend" for those not of US descent).
