I think you risk getting air in the system with a pressure bleeder on the rear circuit.

You don't need an assistant for the ABS pump method, you just need to turn the key on to battery power (the "run" position) and let the pump run. As you crack the bleeder valves, the pump will kick in to repressurize automatically.

Your only caveat is that you don't want to run the pump longer than 30 seconds at a time, and give it time to cool down if you've allowed it to run a long time.
