there are fuses in the din box, maybe two if I remember... you should be able to get to them with long nose pliers.
do this test and let's find out if you are losing the constant power.
turn the car on (don't start)
enter the code,
play the radio,
turn the car off,
turn the car on (don't start) and does the radio work?
if not the circuit that supplies "backup power" to the radio is not functioning.
If the radio *does* work... Do the above but *DO* start the car.
If the radio doesn't work the second time around then the voltage is dropping so far during starting that the radio is losing it's place.
I've had mine do that with a weak battery. You can try the same sequence again with a set of jumpers to another car and see if the radio keeps it's settings, if so then it's battery time...
