when i had my first saab, my 900, i just drove it everywhere, all the time, eventually the alt went, the brakes had to be replaced, but i never thought about anything, i just enjoyed, same with first two 9000s, until i started DIYing, and reading the list, and learning a great deal, and benefiting a lot, BUT...
everytime i drive my 9000 i'm so aware of every little thing, i know that the engine sounds differently lately, i know that i'm getting better mpg since i regapped plugs and swapped AMMs, I'm concerned about the occasional hard upshift when i let off on the accelerator (from 2 - 3), every day i drive it, i'm listening, watching, for something...
and i count each day as a successful day of saab ownership that nothing breaks, not because it happens often, but because i know so much now about what can go wrong...
where's the temp reading, is it higher than it was last week, did the tach bounce as i started...
sometimes ignorance is bliss
